HTT - Mocking Edition

This one's easy, and may or may not be my attempt to put off blogging for another day.

Go here first.

Then, come back here.

Now, tell me if that was super funny or super offensive, though I must warn you that if it's the latter we're probably not friends.

'Cause I'm, like, heck yeahs that's hilarious (and true).

maybe it's too early, or maybe i'm confused, but that blog can not be real. i'm really scared of the "four-willing." it's kind of like the time when i was in utah and i saw a "for sell" sign in a car window.

please do some explaining or somebody help that poor girl.

Hilarious. Definitely Hilarious!

And yet a bit scary because I could copy and paste some of that stuff into a few blogs of people I know that are actually SERIOUS!

I think it is SO funny.

I saw that recently when Azucar had a link to it; so funny. But it makes me think twice about my own posts :)

Spot on. But, a warning: discussing it too much makes it less funny!

Oh, the exclamation points.

I saw this a few days ago and laughed hysterically. I love it.

I love it! I keep meaning to blog about SSB but it looks like the whole world knows about it now. So funny, even if my blog is among those being mocked. At least I don't have as many spelling errors.

that is funny...i don'tlove the phrase that goes along with "WTF" but her blog was pretty entertaining.

leslie-

a "for sell" sign? that is the greatest thing i have read all week. it's almost like having a dream come true.

hilarious blog, but must be read in small-ish doses or i get a little sick feeling in my stomach. that's the problem with knowing people who emulate the most awful stereotypes imaginable.

i think it's funny, but think it could get old really fast, especially because it's super annoying to read. thankfully no one i know is THAT dramatic in their post writing... she pretty much has the "best" of everything on there.

I've seen that blog. Funny? Yes. Satirical? Absolutely. Spot on? Usually so. But it can get pretty old pretty fast.

Now, I too have my head-shaking, eye-rolling moments in the blogosphere. And I'm sure many of my posts lack any of the qualities which would classify it as reader-friendly. However, that being said, I find it kind of sad that someone put that much time and effort into producing a blog and numerous posts for the mere purpose of making fun and laughing at someone (or everyone) else. And that, in my opinion, is where the irony really comes in.

I think its spot on! And I am always shaking my head... and making sure my blog has a whole lot less "Seriously's" in it.

What I think is interesting is how exercised people get in the comments. Good grief. Tongue in cheek, people. Tongue in cheek.

Our "Mormon culture" is sometimes weird. We have to be able to laugh at ourselves.(others are)
And lets face it, Utahans talk weird. (Layt-un, Mount-uns; gonnu; s'go...)

Seriously, I should know. I was born there. :>)

Mostly funny. Gets old quick though. I read every day for like a week and am kind of done with it. Every post is way too similar.

I personally don't care if I'm being mocked. Isn't it great that our loves are seriously so blessed that we can make fun of it???

Anonymous said...

Brilliant. OF COURSE every post is similar...that's kind of the point, right? It's getting more hilarious every day and she's got every little nuance down, very clever. Did you see it in the paper the other day? It's a hit!

I must say I think this is one of my all time most favorite blogs. It is almost painful to read and completely hilarious. Brilliant!

I was introduced to Seriously So Blessed last week, and have been giggling ever since. My favorite parts are the Utah spellings: four-willing, and all variations of there/they're/their. Genius. One has to be careful though because it's easy to start speaking like her. Seriously guys.

I saw that blog a few weeks ago and didn't find it funny at all. Looks like I'm one of the few.....

I have a hard time reading the way she writes which takes all the funny out of it for me. I can't follow her. She's almost trying too hard to be funny, to the point of being annoying. Well, scratch that, it is annoying, but bordering on obnoxious.

HILARIOUS! I stumbled upon that gem the other day and laughed my head off and was relieved I wasn't in all the stereotyping. Brilliant. Perfect. True.
