The color of Tang

Let this be a lesson to you to NEVER dye your hair yourself, especially with a box from the store.

(I know, I know, my years as a pretend hair stylist taught me better!)

After two trips to a salon and waaaay more money than I should have spent, my hair color is basically normal and actually sporting a cuter cut, though I don't have pics to document that yet.

I make these mistakes so you can learn, people.

You can thank me later.

Or now.

With candy.

Oh I have done that. First it was fire red then settled to a nice Frenchie pink, then trying to get it back to blond turned it your same Tang color. Hair color is a tricky thing and should totally be left to the professionals. Glad that you got your hair back!

i like that your hair matches your shirt... such a trendsetter!

your hair looks surprisingly healthy after all the horror stories youo've told! and that IS a cute color. and tang is disgusting. hence, you are beautiful.

just to clarify, that is the horrific box color, not my final hue. i'm sporting dark blonde highlights now.

Strawberry blonde, Tang blonde, I guess they're not quite the same, huh?

hey, i was raised on tang.

Ah, you know that was just a ploy for you to get your husband all on board for paying up the wazoo for a professional job.

That's what I would do, at least.

That looks like the color my hair turned when we all tried to dye our hair at the beach!! Yikes.

Hey, my 13 year old niece loves her hair the color of tang...you're just so down with the up and coming generation. Trendsetter.

When I was a kid, Tang was like the new, improved orange juice. Cool kids drank Tang, others (who also wore ill-fitting sweaters made by their grandmothers)drank fresh squeezed.

You're the coolest.

oh man, the last thing you need is orange hair, i'm glad you got it fixed.

and i did that once, too. put a strawberry blond color over bleached hair. oops.

I did that 2 years ago, and my girls told me I looked like I lived in a really bad neighborhood trailer park! I spent TONS of $$$ getting it fixed the next day. (not that there is anything wrong with living in a trailerpark...)You look like my neighbor 3 trailers down the street

I have never dyed or highlighted my hair... and it's things like this that keep me from attempting it! (I think I would have done the same thing, going the cheap route but having not-so-terrific results).

mmmm... pink.

and don't you love taking your own picture? p.s. i hate it. i will admit that i tried to take a picture of myself (when i was by myself) and it was oddly embarrasing even though no one else was around. strange.

glad you moved on from that color. phew. :)

It does match your shirt in that picture. But I'm also glad you got it fixed because you couldn't wear that shirt every day. It would start to smell. :) I think this happened to one of my sisters before.
Two more things... 1. Your face looks very thin. And 2. I never realized how much you look like your mom! I really think you look like her from this angle. And I think your mom is lovely, so it's a compliment. :)

Been there. Although, my most recent color incident was at the hands of a professional stylist. She was just touching up the roots and put WAY too much red in the dye. It was awful, but I didn't have time to wait another 45 minutes for her to change it AND cut my hair, so I decided to live with it. I needed a trim. Then, she charged me a full $135.00. Nice.

I prefer Sugar-Free Orange Sunrise from Wal-Mart.

I've had virgin hair since my wedding. I would do for even some citrus highlights right now. and don't even get me started on my last haircut that chopped me like a 12 yr-old boy.

hope you're feeling well, chica. cuidate.

Girl, you should have consulted a professional "box user" before the purchase. I'm always here for you when it comes to dying your hair out of a box I am quite skilled and have 14 years of experience!
