My side of the fam just got bigger as my elder sis welcomed a little baby boy at 3:45 this morning. I like to call him Lil' Gee.
All I've seen is a camera photo, but he looks adorable!
Mother and son are doing well, I hear, and recovering together.
He weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 19 inches.
Welcome to the world!
At last, Miss Dub gets a cousin.
(As you can see, she was shocked to hear the news.)

So excited for Mrs Gee!! I can't wait to see him and I am sorry to say that I will get to live in person:)
And what are these other 16 1/2 boys and girls called? Cousins-in-law? But anyhoo! We are so excited for Baby E to have another new cousin. We don't want Gammy (I know she has a special Grandma name that I can't remember) spoiling her too much as the only S family grandchild.
Excuse Mrs. Dub's proprietary use of "cousin". Those Dub counsins are just as precious, especially as it looks like Miss Dub may be sharing red hair with a bunch of them. It's just counsins have always been rare on the Ess side. Growing up, Mrs. Dub only had a handful of cousins. All lived far away (Miss Dub's fate, too, for now), and Mrs. Dub is a very social person. Since her BFF had 4 sisters and a few hundred aunts, uncles, and counsins, I think Mrs. Dub always felt extended-family-deprived. We are all glad Miss Dub will not be counsin-challenged.
Thanks for the sweet words of explanation P Daddy! I feel much better. We the Original Dub children were also cousin deprived and have relished watching our children interacting and loving their cousins so much. The interesting part comes in that the Male Dub Siblings decided to locate anywhere but by their sisters! Hmmm. For now our children will love their estranged cousins via BLOGS. How sad is that?
