Almost crafty

Oh what do you do in the springtime?
When all the Midwest is still cold?

You get a little crafty.

(Yeah, it doesn’t quite work with the tune, but did I mention for the quazillionth time that it’s MY blog?)

But not in a room with any resemblance to this one, which makes me salivate to look upon and reminds me of all of the projects I’m not even trained to perform:
Why, cruel fate, why?

And with results far less stunning than this little number:
¡Que bella!

And a little more along the lines of this:

Love me some mod podge!

And this:

You can never have enough ocean paintings. Just ask my house.

And this:

Fake flower arranging is an art, right?

Hey, it might be meager, but it was fun and didn’t require wearing a scarf, scraping the windshield or cursing the sky.

Is that what you do?
So do I.

So super talented. Maybe someday I'll get a little craftier.

As for what we DID in the springtime in the midwest... we always took a trip to AZ every March to visit the fam and thaw out. We also would go to lots of indoor places (like the science museum, the mall playplace, the art museum's family center, storytime at the library, etc.). Of course my kiddies were a little older than Miss Dub. We also spent lots of time looking at pictures from past summertime adventures... just to get our minds off of the COLD weather.

Finally we packed up and moved back to AZ where we don't have to worry about those cold midwestern Marches. :)

very fabulous! how big is that E? it looks quite large, which makes me wonder, did you construct it or purchase it ready-for-decoupage?

you've always been so creative with decorating. love the ocean picture. i'm always too scared to paint for some reason...like the paint's going to bite me or something. you've now inspired me.

I, too, love the E - by any chance could you post crafty instructions to complete just such a fabulous little thing?
