It's official: I have a girl crush on Tina Fey - even though Mr. Dub has technically forbidden me from saying "girl crush." I've explained to him that it doesn't mean I want to kiss her; I just want to date her. And I would probably stress about my outfit and witty dinner conversation just like I did when we were courting. Because she is fabulously talented. I cannot get enough of "30 Rock." I didn't give the show a fair chance last year, ditching it from our DVR listings after a weak pilot, but I've thankfully had a chance to catch back up, and I'm in humor heaven. I dare say I like it better than "The Office." Call that blasphemous, but you are talking to a woman in love ... with a woman ... just not like that.
(Maybe obsession would be a better word than girl crush, although that has similarly freaky connotations, like wanting to steal her footwear, and I'm just not into sneakers.)
But one girl crush I refuse to abandon is the one I have on Björk. How could someone not? And as I explained to Mr. Dub, he can't be threatened by this crush. As I tell him, "Björk isn't even human; she's Icelandic."

I love Tina Fey and I am so glad you have found the love of 30 Rock. It is probably my favorite of all the shows on Thursday night. I say girl crushes (and man crushes) are totally ok.
There is no question that last night's episode of 30 Rock FAR outshone The Office's offering. But that partly has to do with my boy crush on Matthew Broderick.
If you steal anyone's footwear, I will probably just hide them.
I am loving this phrase girl crush. I think I will be exploring it further. And as for the first comment, my husband has 2man crushes I can name off the top of my head and I'm sure he'll be glad to know I feel they have a name now.

It is hilarious but the thing that make it so is that it is very smart humor. I caught on to it at the beginning of the 2nd season and loved it so much that I rented the first season and just ate it up!

I had a girl crush on Gwenyth Paltrow. That girl could do no wrong in my book. Well at least until she showed her boobies in the movie "Shakespeare in Love". I have yet to idolize another woman for awhile now. Tina FEy is pretty cool , I have to admit.
