Did I mention that my mom is in town for the week?
Which means that I'm going to have to break up with you for a few days so that I can spend some quality time with the woman behind simplehappy home.
It's not you, it's me, I promise.
But I don't want you to go away empty-handed and/or hearted. After all, Halloween is only a week away and some of you might not have seen the ghoulishly great decor over at Glamma Fabulous' blog.
She's like a mother to me, though technically she is Mrs. Jay's mom, though technically she had permission to punish me as a teenager.
And she's an artistic genuis.
And perhaps the only person who decorates with hair gel.

I can't believe those pictures of Kelley's house! Very impressive. I'm sure all the grandkids love it!
A gifted artist, a natural comedienne, a wonderful mom (and frequent vicarious mom to our Mrs. Dub), a creative genius, would have been the classic candidate for those old who's the mother/ who's the daughter dishsoap commercials as her looks have remained as young as her heart has, and nobody can do a holiday, a party, or a scrapbook like GF. A wonderful friend, a great read, and always a fun time.
glamma fabulous and grammy sandie were the perfect pair of mothers for us. we couldn't have asked for more, we got just the right dose of simply happy and fabulousity.

I cant express how much I love Mrs. Dub and the whole Sandie fam and since we are gettin mushy I must say that knowing them has made my families life richer! While we have many things that differ between our two famz the thread of the gospel, friendship,love of a good joke, and deep respect for Target ties us together.P daddy is a wonderfuly eloquent man whos thoughtful research and scholarly manner cloak a great wit and beautiful heart.Grammy Sandie is a gentle lovely example of kindness and cleverness with a dash of quiet confidence that anyone would love to have as a mother or surrogate mother. Oh, yeah and mrs.dub is super coolio too! I dig you Sandies and Sandie in laws and I say Te Quiero Mucho!
