just kidding

i lied.

somewhere between publishing my last post and waiting for the movers to take us to utah, mr. dub received a fabulous job offer for a company here in chicagoland.

which made my blog totally inaccurate.

(and made our lives a bit hectic. try unmoving, finding a place to live and re-moving in a matter of days.)

but my last post is sort of true.

he did graduate. he is a smarty pants. he does look good in a gown.

but he isn't unemployed. we won't be living in our in-laws' basement. and we won't be driving cross-country with an infant.

now, we'll be flying.

i guess miss dub really liked that snowsuit because we're in for a few years (if not more) of really, really, ridiculously cold winters.

but we're happy.

(even though we'll miss all our family out West who so generously offered to let us mooch for the unforseeable future.)

now that we know we're official residents, illinois doesn't seem so illinois-ing.

after all, when you pray for blessings, you can't complain when they come with the wrong license plate.

that's great that mr. dub got a job! how quickly, too! i'm sure all your illinois friends are way glad you're sticking around. (do you still live in that place with the lady who got locked out with no pants on?) maybe now you can move up. :)

just think of all the giordanos pizza you can eat now - not to mention seeing oprah, doesn't she still owe you a prom dress?
