I didn't blog about our 4th of July festivities because they were pretty tame -- hanging out with our only Colorado friends, putting together a makeshift indoor bbq and forgoing fireworks due to a storm and settling for The Saint.
But then I remembered one notable event from the day. The four of us (the Dubs, a pal and his gal) went miniature golfing at the coolest course. It was Indiana Jones-esque with ancient Aztec ruins and a plane crash and ... well, you'd kind of have to see it to really appreciate it. And my man, Mr. Dub, hit THREE holes-in-one, leaving all of us in the dust. (Especially me, who despite getting a hole-in-one, finished fourth.)
The best part: at the final hole, Mr. Dub hit the ball straight into an Aztec pyramid, which shortly spewed forth a huge flame and proclaimed, "You are the chosen one."
I mean, I knew it all along, but it was nice to be validated.

that sounds so fun. i really do love miniature golf. when i was in va for my "real mission" then my companion and i went for my birthday. i had so much fun that miniature golf always brings back those warm fuzzies from that day.
HYSTERICAL!! I wish I could have been there for "YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE!" I would have died. I remember when we went mini golfing! I was so annoyed the whole time, I believe I resorted to actually THROWING the ball in. However, right after you and Mr. Dub did announce that you were getting married, so it ended on a happy note. Even though I probably chastised Mr. Dub saying, "It's about time!" I do love you two together. He REALLY IS your chosen one. PS--best picture of him on his b-day. so cute.
