Despite the fact that my hair had recently reached epic lengths, I decided to chop it yesterday. It's not that I don't want to have superlong locks because I do. But I want them to be voluminous and shiny and enchanting. However, the minute my hair gets past the middle of my back it becomes stringy and flat and boring. So what's a girl to 'do? Go shorter!

Before -- this long, but certainly not this beautiful or this post wouldn't exist.

After -- this long, except a little more chunkified and shorter bangs.
I have to admit I'm very pleased with the results. It's not so short that my face takes on a chipmunk-like quality. And it's not so long that I spend so much time blow-drying it that I have no time left for styling.
Sometimes the littlest change can make the biggest difference. Thanks for the inspiration, Reese!
(Interesting note: Reese's first name and first middle name are the same as mine, except I don't have a second middle name that's really hip and trendy. But I do have a pseudonym so I've got that going for me.)
