It's a beautiful new year and for once I'm not going to tarnish it with endless, empty promises of things I will do this year. I'm all for goal-making, but not burden-building. I've literally had years where my New Year's resolutions included things like, "Write a best-selling novel" and "Discover a new galaxy." In short, they've been a bit far-reaching and overwhelming, to the point that the important ones like, "Volunteer more" and "Celebrate nature" get ignored. So this year I've resolved to limit my resolutions to the essential:
My 2006 goals
- Be healthier
- Be happier
- Be kinder
- Be better
- Be true
