I do ...

... wish that we have enlisted a stellar photographer to take beautiful wedding photos like those I have showcased here.

We did get a photographer, but something wasn't right about him or his camera or our blazing hot wedding day. Each photo captures us off-center, out-of-focus or just plain drenched in sweat. There's nothing creative, just stiff poses and candids that don't capture much more than child guests looking bored. No where is there a furtive glance, a sweet touch or a special moment.

There's nothing like that or the one above or the ones below. Nope. For that reason, our wedding photos still sit in a bag in our closet two years later. One day, I will put them in an album. One day, I will weed the mediocre from the just plain bad. But secretly what I want to do is put on our outfits one more time -- this time, my hair done in a manner that looks more casual and more like me. I'll ditch the veil and he'll ditch his tie and we'll go downtown and take pictures of us eating deep-dish pizza. Then, we'll go out to a ranch and take photos of us barefoot among the hay. And last, we'll take photos of us heading to work in our full garb with briefcases and backpacks.

Then, maybe, we'll finally have something to put on display.
